Ok there is a lot of The Witcher Henry Cavill vs. Liam Hemsworth discourse right now, but the only valid one is this article of a German media news site about why Liam Hemsworth is the better Witcher. Everybody else can go home. 🤣

Unfortunately it is in German, but if you understand the language have a look and a laugh.

(And yes I do indeed think Liam Hemsworth might be the better Witcher, and that it is unfortunate that he hasn't been right from the start, but for other reasons. 😅)

Thanks for sharing, LOL 😂

I'm ready for Liam now (and the Hansa!)

Just wrote a quick translation for those who do not speak German (didn’t check for typos, hope there aren’t too many)

You should have a look at the original article though for the pictures and links!

Have fun!

Liam Hemsworth is a better Witcher than Henry Cavill – and these 7 absolutely convincing reasons prove it

by Hendrik Busch (translation by astaldis)

Liam Hemsworth is going to replace Henry Cavill as the Witcher – and nobody believes in him. Although he brings pretty much everything with him that is needed. Read here our seven-part pleading/summation in favour of the new Geralt.

We are witnesses to the perhaps biggest series-trauma of the more recent series-history: Henry Cavill leaves the Netflix fantasy show The Witcher after three seasons, Liam Hemsworth is going to  take over the role starting with season 4. A big part of the fandom reacts to the change like to toenails in your morning müsli. And that without having seen a single scene with the hearty Australian in white-blonde Geralt-wig.

Liam Hemsworth obviously has no lobby in the Witcher fandom. We’ll give him one. Because the 33-year-old is going to be a fantastic Witcher after, in episode one of season 4, floating into the Witcher dimension on a pegasus.

Here are …

7 reasons why Liam Hemsworth is going to be a better Gerals than Henry Cavill

Reason 1: Liam Hemsworth is taller than Henry Cavill

When men meet for the first time, they, as is generally known, compare their body height. That’s what we’ll begin with, too. According to unisonous sources, the figure of Geralt of Rivia is 1.98m tall. so Henry Cavill being 1.85m, he conned us out of as many as 13 centimetres of vertical Geralt-mass. With his 1,91m, Liam Hemsworth at least jumps the golden 190-centimetre mark.

Reason 2: Liam Hemsworth has better taste in head coverings

Naturally, everybody should wear whatever they feel like wearing and we here are Miviepilot and not a fashion magazine. After thorough investigation of the instagram profiles of Geralt 1 and Geralt 2, we cannot not observe: Henry Cavill has a considerably worse taste in fashion than Liam Hemsworth. At least above the super masculine chin.

Because while Hemsworth understands that he only looks good with certain types of headgear (baseball cap, beanie, cowboy hat), Cavill totally goes ballistic here. Sometimes he looks like a French baguette heir on steroids, sometimes like grandma’s Christmas project or an extra in a low-budget-version of Lion King. Sorry, Henry, you know that we love you. But the point for hats goes to Liam.

Reason 3: Liam Hemsworth has seen a squirrel once

„The first time I saw a squirrel was at a Disney meeting. I said: ‚What the hell?!‘“ There is no proof on the internet that Henry Cavill has ever seen a squirrel.

Reason 4: Liam Hemsworth is the brother of Marvel star and bodybuilding god Chris Hemsworth

Liam Hemsworth has a whole life of experience being second choice and can now apply this experience to his time as the Witcher.

Reason 5: If one day Liam does not want to continue, another of the Hemsworth brothers could take up the mantle

For example Luke Hemsworth, he really exists. Or Sam Hemsworth, who we’ve invented.

Reason 6: Liam looks good in black and white

It won’t hurt.

Reason 7: With Liam Hemsworth a The Witcher crisis is out of the question

In Tributes of Panem he played an irrelevant minor role, exactly like in his by now divorced marriage with Miley Cyrus. If you think of Expendables 2, Liam Hemsworth would be the last person to come to mind. In Independence Day 2: The Return he allegedly plays a character called Jake Morrison?! Liam Hemsworth stands for nothing. Being cast in The Witcher is the biggest success of his career.

The traumatising Henry Cavill scenario is, therefore, out of the question with Liam Hemsworth. He cannot leave the Witcher, he would not know where to go.

here's your fucking feedback @staff

list of problems the removal of icons causes:

  • i cant see my friends
  • ruins the sense of community
  • can't tell at a glance who's online right now and what they're interested in
  • literally cannot tell without scrolling back up who put a post on my dash if it has a single addition attached to it. or like. 2 paragraphs in the op.
  • i cant click my own icon at the top of the dash to quickly view my own blog
  • can't tell who someone used to be if they change their username
  • squashes the margins between the menu and posts, making the whole dash feel more cramped
  • ruins the quick visual cue of how long each post is and where it ends when you're trying to scroll past ones youve seen before
  • people put a lot of creativity and individuality into icons, and now i never see them
  • makes people who primarily reblog instead of make their own posts all but completely disappear

list of problems solved by removing icons:

  • ?????
  • who the fuck was asking for this
  • ive never in my life seen a website or app that has profile pics forcibly HIDE them, so i guess you did it you made the dash unique again in the worst way

here's some more feedback: maybe when you run an a/b test you should, idk, actually have a feedback form people can fill out about it somewhere

It's not exactly what you mean in that it's not specifically for this a/b group thing but...

THERE IS A FEEDBACK FORM YOU CAN FILL OUT!!!

image
image

Click Help at the bottom right of the screen (might have to scroll a little bit to get it)

image

At the top of your screen, tap Contact Support, and it will open a sidebar.

image

On the Choose a category for support option, choose Feedback.

Fill out the rest of the form with your feedback and be as civil as possible while getting your points across.

If you're on mobile:

Tap the profile button, then enter your settings.

Under General Settings, which should be the first option available to select, scroll down until you see Help.

image

Scroll the page to the bottom until you see Contact Support, and tap it.

And like on desktop, you select Feedback from the dropdown menu for Choose a category for support.

I have no idea how effective this is, but considering it's one of the few ways to actually contact staff and support that gets you a response (you'll receive an email reply eventually!), it's worth a shot
